Apogee Solutions Wins Wounded Warrior Care Contract

On 30 September 2016, Apogee Solutions was awarded a contract to support the Bureau of Naval Medicine and Surgery’s Psychological Health and Traumatic Brain Injury Services.  The contract to support the Marine Corps Wounded Warrior Regiment (WWR) and subordinate units.  The contract, valued at $8.1M, is a continuation of eight years of work supporting the Marine Corps Wounded Warrior program.  The contract will run from 29 September 2016 to 28 September 2021.

Apogee Solutions is the prime contractor providing licensed clinical support and healthcare services for the Marine Corps WWR.  The WWR program provides severely Wounded, Ill, and Injured Marines and their families a system of advocacy, follow-up, and healthcare support to assist transition back to military service or into the civilian community.  Dasha Little, President and CEO of Apogee Solutions, said, “This is a wonderful affirmation of the work our talented, committed, and passionate employees have been doing to support our Nation’s treasure—the Wounded, Ill, and Injured Marines and Sailors attached to the Wounded Warrior Regiment.  “We are excited about this opportunity to continue our services to the Marine Corps Wounded Warrior Regiment at Quantico and other Marine Corps locations.  We have a strong partnership with the Marine Corps and a thorough understanding of the importance of this critical mission.””

The WWR provides a system to monitor, track, and ensure appropriate assistance through an array of service providers for severely disabled Marines.  Goals for the program: 1) support a comprehensive Psychological Health (PH) and Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) program that will ensure every Marine and Sailor assigned to a Marine Corps unit receives the best prevention, identification, and treatment available; 2) assist in developing policies and implementing procedures for PH and TBI; and 3) to facilitate clinical assessment and management of individual cases for the WWR.

Through this contract, Marines have access to clinical support staff representatives who are qualified in Traumatic Brain Injury and psychological health services related to Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder.  Apogee Solutions provides clinical services along with psychological health services at the Wounded Warrior Operations Center and the WWR at Quantico and its subordinate battalions:  Battalion East at Camp Lejeune, NC, and Battalion West at Camp Pendleton, CA.  Apogee Solutions personnel also travel to coordinate WWR services to provide services in assessments, vocational rehabilitation, medical case management, and life care planning.
