The Apogee Team's Seaport-e Award
The Apogee Solutions, Inc. Team is proud to have been chosen as a service
provider for the Seaport-e N00178-08-R-4000 contract.
Like Apogee, a Woman-Owned Small Business (WOSB), all of our partners embody
the American entrepreneurial spirit. Whether a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned
Small Business (SDVOSB), or a company grown from a small partnership into a
powerhouse, each partner brings something very special to the Apogee Team.
The reason for building such a uniquely talented and complementary team
exemplifies our desire to provide stellar service for each Task Order awarded.
The Seaport-e Mission
The Seaport-e Solution was designed to alleviate the very large number of contractors
performing similar services for Warfare Centers located around the country, and to
provide a consistent acquisition strategy and policy. This program provides the government
with the opportunity to benefit from broader business relationships while reducing
procurement costs. Seapower 21, initiated by the Chief of Naval Operations (CNO),
encouraged the Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) and the Warfare Centers (WCs) to find ways
to more efficiently meet the Navy’s upcoming challenges. The Naval Surface Warfare Center
(NSWC) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center (NUWC) partnered to provide support and oversight
for twelve (12) core functional areas across seven (7) national zones.

Quality Assurance
The quality of services rendered by the Apogee Team under this contract will conform to
the highest standard in the relevant Functional/Mission Areas. Our Team is composed of
8 companies who all maintain solid reputations for high standards and superb professionalism.
Our management team will ensure that all individuals are fully qualified in their relevant
labor categories and that all team members will adhere to all contract requirements as well
as the requirements prescribed by each command, facility, or base supported under this contract.
Our workforce quality begins with using
a disciplined process for recruiting personnel to fulfill contract requirements. The preferred method
of recruitment is through employee referral—people currently doing the job know others who would make
ideal candidates. Referrals are made by current Apogee employees or Government Employment
Sources, other team members who can’t place a quality candidate.
In considering mission integrity,
we utilize a pool of current employees who are interested in expanding their experience or perhaps
have initiated interest in moving because of the sense of job stagnation. Apogee maintains an active
electronic database of high caliber prospective employees indexed to their labor categories. In the
event that a qualified candidate is not identified through these procedures, Apogee recruits employees
through direct recruitment, aggressive marketing, and the use of professional recruiters. We believe
the key to mission integrity is placing the right people with the right mission. Schedule – by
prescreening of candidate, use of crossover programs, and integrated planning for staffing across
team members, we can ensure that staffing is not an issue and schedules are met with capable and
qualified candidates. Cost – by applying our proactive approach to clearance pre-screening, and
targeting candidates with current/active clearances, cost is limited and delays in accomplishing
requirements are avoided.
