Apogee Solutions provides consulting and professional, technical, and program management services to the Department of Defense for operations,training, and logistics services. Apogee Solutions’ personnel have extensive backgrounds in strategic planning, applied and theoretical research, operational analysis, training development using the Systems Approach to Training (SAT), technical writing, and design and execution of Live, Virtual, and Constructive (LVC) training and exercise events.
Apogee Solutions is extensively involved in supporting Army training, supporting Army Forces Command (FORSCOM) as the Army’s Executive Agent for program planning and execution for the Joint National Training Capability (JNTC), improving the ability of U.S. forces to fight effectively as a Joint and Combined team by extending joint training to a much broader audience. The JNTC provides a networked, global system of both Service and joint facilities that brings the benefits of LVC opportunities to the Joint user at all echelons. Apogee Solutions supports developing concepts, training strategies, and identifying resources essential in translating this concept into reality. We manage FORSCOM JNTC event planning and coordination efforts, identify training objectives and goals for JNTC events, and develop courses of action to support objective attainment. Critically, we provide recommendations in the development and execution of Army Event Accreditation, Venue Certification, and Unit Validation. Our personnel coordinate incorporation of tactical units, LVC training formats, Opposing Forces (Red Cell), Observer Controllers, augmentation for Joint assessment teams, Echelon-Above-Brigade Higher Headquarters elements, augmentation for Exercise Control Groups, augmentation for Echelon-Above-Corps and Joint Task Force Headquarters (Blue and White Cells), and exercise planners and staff.
Apogee Solutions also leads support at U.S. Army Reserve Command where we perform Training Program Management professional support services for Army Training Models (ATM) supporting the entire U.S. Army Reserve, including oversight management of multiple projects as well as participation in technical working groups including program Working Integrated Process Teams (WIPTs). Apogee Solutions’ professionals possess knowledge of military technical training and resource management along with knowledge of training processes, programs, and requirements. They serve as the focal point for managing training resources to include programming training events, required courses, and other training initiatives and projects that must be completed. Apogee Solutions develops planning, programming, and execution documents for training operations that includes contracted manpower, associated training contracts, and projected student loads. Apogee Solutions develops communications and information or decision briefings for various agencies and their leadership concerning training program requirements and issues. They also provide technical support, planning, consultation, analysis, and expert advice to establish, maintain, and improve USARC training. Apogee Solutions supports three requirements: Decision Support Analysis for Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE); Operational Tempo (OPTEMPO) Data for Resource Management; and Statistical Analysis to Support Reserve Component Training Requirements for Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and Budget Submissions. Apogee Solutions offers the support required to design and protect training and the operational readiness resource needs and funding strategies to align with the PPBE process.
Apogee Solutions provides high quality specialized research and analysis in support of Joint Force development for the Joint Staff J-7. For this effort, Joint Force development activities include three lines of effort requiring analytic support: 1) developing a comprehensive view of the future operating environment; 2) developing joint concepts that recommend new approaches and capabilities to address current or future challenges; and 3) analysis and assessment support for implementing Joint Force development recommendations. Apogee Solutions provides Wargame Planners in support of the Joint Wargaming and Experimentation Division (JWED) to ensure a plausible plan, scenario, and the planning, leading and/or supporting joint wargaming and experimentation events done by JWED provide a rigorous environment to measure and assess joint warfighting concepts and their ways and means. Key to this effort is support for the premier wargaming event, the Joint Global Integrated War Game (GIWG). Apogee Solutions is responsible for creating and implementing the project management tool for tracking GIWG events in support of the overall Wargaming Branch Battle Rhythm.
Apogee Solutions provides veteran/retired military personnel who develop scenarios, serve as observer/controllers for events, and provide vital feedback on unit performance. Our Subject Matter Experts assist in conducting exercises and large-scale training events in preparation for operational missions using their unique, military-related education and experiences in the critical specialty of modeling and simulation.
